At least 16 people have died on the western roads



While the authorities prepare for the holiday season, at least 16 people have been killed on the weekend in Western Cape.

Trafficking leader Kenny Afrika said most of Friday and Sunday's incidents occurred around Cape Town.

In one incident, one of three passengers was killed when Liesbee lost control of a vehicle under the Parkway bridge.

Pedestrians were also captured and killed at the Observatory, Kraaifontein and Mfuleni.

Above all, a truck driver died in an accident outside Heidelberg.

On the west coast, the driver of BMW has lost control of his vehicle, apparently as a result of a tire explosion, and on Saturday afternoon he has cast a sharp bend out of Redelinghuys town.

Two people walked from the vehicle and died.
