A couple fled after his light aircraft, landing on the Jeffreys Bay beach on Wednesday.
The National Rescue Institute (NSRI) said the pilot Plettenberg Bay and his wife were safe on the beach.
"The pilots landed on the beach in a port Elizabeth Port after the alleged motor bankruptcy," said Paul van Jaarsveld NSRI.
Van Jaarsveld's crew, police, Kouga Fire and Rescue Services and Eastern Cape Emergency Services staff, had already activated the Aeronautic Rescue Coordination Center.
Van Jaarsveld said the incident that the Civil Aviation Authority has investigated.

In June, two people were killed when he approached Midrand, a neighborhood in Johannesburg.
