A new feature is not exactly
The mirror monitor of your iPad screen has been enabled through a HDMI adapter (30 pin or Lightning).
The new iPad Pro makes it easier, as we will see, thanks to the USB-C port. It also allows working with 5K resolution monitors.
What do you need
Not all USB-C connections are the same. For example, the iPad Pro does not support the Thunderbolt 3 screen, even if the connectors are like USB-C connectors.
IPad Pro uses the standard DisplayPort, but requires a high-speed cable to be sent to 5K resolutions. Apple Belkin suggests USB-C USB-C cable or Apple's Thunderbolt 3 USB-C device as a means of unlocking performance.
This is a good example of how confusing your browsing works: LG UltraFine 4K screen is compatible with a USB-C connection and works with iPad Pro without additional adapters. The LG UltraFine 5K screen, on the other hand, is based on Thunderbolt 3 and will not work with the iPad Pro.
Describe and make it easy.
- If you are using a USB-C monitor with a USB-C connection, you can connect directly to iPad Pro, probably with an internal monitor cable.
- You need a suitable adapter for all other monitors (USB-C, HDMI, USB-C, DisplayPort, etc.).
- Some drivers will also offer iPad Pro power as it is charging.
- Some do not charge, so Apple will need an adapter like USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter or your iPad battery will run out.
How do applications work?

In most cases, when you connect iPad Pro to your monitor, your iPad screen will only be reflected. The monitor is what you see in the iPad. Some applications may, however, do more with the second screen.
When using IMovie, for example, you can show the on-screen editing screen or select a project output on the screen by selecting the external display button. In photos, images are displayed in the external monitor in the black background and when a video is played, it will only be displayed in the monitor.
Other applications, such as Adobe Lightroom, do not have the option to show where it is displayed. Instead, the photo edited on the external screen is always shown.

In app configuration There are some options because they have problems with the output quality shown on the monitor or on the TV.
