Market Libre – warns of a phishing campaign that steals data from El Ciutadano and the region

Computer security experts have reported a new phishing campaign – a type of virtual fraud – to send messages directly from the domain that violates the local company and misleading marketing to steal personal data from the victims.

Email messages come from ".com.ar". This means that there is no opposed domain: the punishment began to be sent to the company's server and sent "emails sent directly to it", Telam Cristian Borghello, the director explained the Jarra-Info.

Specialists avoided the company hindering this company in an investigation into the Cybercrime Prosecution, complaining, despite the fact that this campaign has not shared common issues and others in the country.

The emails received by the victim say: "Dear user, we have detected a great deal of irregularity in your movements, so we have made the decision to cancel the account. You need to verify your identity to recover access. Please check your identity here."

According to Borghello, this campaign is unique to the ".com.ar" domain, "a domain is registered three days ago".

"The particular party, which I have ever seen in Argentina, is a link that says" click here "to TrendMicro, an anti-virus company, to sell commercial filters with these email messages," warns the specialist.

Clicking on this link, the attacker has entered the Market Lane password and personal data after stolen.

The campaign "is widespread," said Borghello, "even knowing that thousands or hundreds of thousands are unknown" emails were sent so far.

Phishing was the most commonly used cyber attack in 2018 around the world, and traditional avenues of expansion (such as email) were compatible with messaging applications, since attackers had a greater potential for victims.
