The company is testing the way of submitting ads, but the reason is compelling.
It can be read in two consecutive ads, something crazy, especially for some time. However, it is testing to make more time playing YouTube.
As we have mentioned in a blog post, YouTube content over the last three years has increased content 10 times. However, the amount of ads that appear may be annoying often, especially if one video is left in more than one moment.
Solution? two ads in a row. This would reduce the video breaks and lead a longer "bout" of advertising, but in a single moment. As usual, these advertising spaces can always skip with the same button after a few seconds.
This was said by Khushbu Rathi, Product Manager, YouTube Video Ads:
When the user views both ads at a break, the ads will later be suspended. In fact, users will reduce their breaks by 40% in the session.
The problem will apply to the first desktop version, the mobile version and the TV.
