Stardew Valley Android release date set for March

Ever since launching for PC in 2016, Stardew Valley You have made your way to a variety of different platforms. Fast forward to today and Stardew Valley is available on pretty much every modern day platform except for one: Android. Earlier this month, the Android version of Stardew Valley appeared on the Google Play Store, allowing users to pre-register for the game ahead of launch.

The only problem with that Google Play appearance by Stardew Valley is that it did not come with a release date. The creator of Stardew Valley, Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone, thankfully did not leave us hanging for long, announcing that the Android version of the game will launch on March 14.

When it does launch, it'll set you back $ 7.99. Though the Android version of Stardew Valley will come with the single player content that was included in its big version 1.3 update from last year, it will not arrive with multiplayer functionality. Still, if you're looking to get your farming fix on the run and you do not own a Nintendo Switch, the Android version might be worth picking up.

There's no word on when (or if) the mobile versions of Stardew Valley will get multiplayer support, but we know that it's coming to Xbox One and PS4 at some point in the near future. The Switch version of Stardew Valley received multiplayer support at the tail end of last year, with Xbox One and PS4 next in line to get it.

Barone has confirmed that the Android version of Stardew Valley will be free of microtransactions, which is always nice to hear. Aside from the lack of multiplayer support, Stardew Valley on Android should play just like it does on other platforms. We'll see how it holds up to other versions soon enough, but while we wait for release day to roll around, head down to the comments section and let us know if you're planning to pick up Stardew Valley on Android.
