There are about 1,000 jobs in danger at BNP Paribas Fortis. From this number, when there are approximately 800 bank departures, Wednesday it has been notified by Setca. However, it will be necessary to find a solution of another 200 people, warned the socialist unity.
The unions and BNP Paribas Fortis negotiate a collective bargaining agreement every two years in the bank. In the period 2019-2020, however, the bank wants to link these negotiations to another CTC to offer a new work organization. Setkas opposed this method, like CGSLB. LBC (CNE flamenco) does not see any inconvenience.
On Monday afternoon, the director of BNP Paribas Fortis, CEO Max Jadot, agreed to a significant cuts in new jobs for the years 2019-2020. There are 2,500 jobs less in the next three years. "Although a large part of these outputs can be done naturally, if it is still around 1000 people, it's because it has failed to find a solution, it will be totally and simply released," said Setca.
The socialist union, therefore, decided to sign two texts to avoid social tragedy. Then, it is necessary to find a solution for other 200 employees, according to Setca.
