Xiaomi and what the company’s sales forecast for 2021 is

2020 was one of the biggest successes in Xiaomi’s history, as the company managed to replace Apple in the third quarter of the year and became the third largest smartphone manufacturer in the world.

The combination of pandemic conditions, the collapse of Huawei’s sales and Apple’s backward flagship were the main reasons for the Chinese company’s significant progress.

Looking at the recent report by the Nikkei Asian Review, the company is looking boldly at the top spot that Samsung currently owns and will do everything in its power to reach it in 2021.

Sources close to the company have revealed that Xiaomi is considering ordering components for the entire 240 million smartphone by 2021, which is almost double the number of sales the brand made in 2019.

According to some sources, orders for the components are expected to produce up to 300 million devices, which is two million more than all the devices Samsung sold in 2019.

However, Nikkei has reported that Xiaomi’s Qualcomm and MediaTek partners are unlikely to get so many components. Another problem could be pandemic supplies, which affect many industries.

However, the difference between Xioami’s plans and Qualcomm’s and MediaTek’s capabilities may be met by Samsung and its Exynos chips.

While Xiaomi is achieving the lowest target of 240 million devices, analysts predict that the company will gain a strong advantage over Apple and be comfortable in third place.

It may deepen Huawei’s problems and allow Xiaomi to take second place in the smartphone world, the Android Authority says.
