TORONTO – Uberrek has contracted the head of Grocery products in Toronto, a sign that the company can have a breakthrough in the supermarket industry.
According to the role of United States technology giant LinkedIn, the role will help define and build companies "a new product offering, which will basically evolve people who buy their food."
Posting says the successful candidate will work with a new Toronto-based group.
Uber has tested the city on the food innovation test bed, starting in 2015 at Uber Eats.
The chief executive, Dara Khosrowshahi, has recently stated that eating foods with a "magical" food distribution in 30 minutes or less is not just food "adjacency".
Uber Canada confirmed in the Canadian press that she was looking for a grocery head, but the role plan did not offer any advice.
