When most comparisons take place with iOS, people usually appear when Google's mobile operating system is customizable while Apple sets it in a rigid and wall garden. When this is in conflict, one of the critical aspects of each operating system is how to handle notifications.
The newly introduced Apple notifications group on iOS 12 and Google make more control over notifications Android users have worked, we look at the strengths and weaknesses of each mobile operating system.
Grouping of notifications
Apple has made an important iOS 12 step and has featured a feature that users have had years ago: the notification group. With the updated installation, the owners of iPhone and iPad do not have a long list of long incoming notifications. There is a long list of announcements coming from her wherever they come from.

I am informed that the steps required by iOS to remove notifications may be annoying, but it adds a protection, unexpectedly excluding it. Often, I like to close an entire Android Notification group. Making a two step process in iOS is not a problem.
Notification settings
Over the last several versions of Android, Google has added other controls to allow users to have more power over notifications on app. When an application is allowed or blocked, when you want to unlink your notifications, whenever you want, the user can access it at any time through the settings and adjust what they do and do not want to see.

In Android, the user can choose to disable all notifications or to turn off the notification type individually. Google calls these channels.
These settings are all offered in iOS and much more. On an iPhone or iPad, users want to see a notification on the lock screen at the notification center, banner or in three combinations. Controls also have incoming notifications to show a user a sound, display badges, and alert previews.
Android has come a long way in recent years, iOS offers more personalized notifications for each application.
Why Android is still a champion (in my opinion)
As I explained at the beginning of this comparison, I am not a fan of iOS that manages notifications. On Android, whether you're viewing notifications icons on the lock screen or in the status bar. Always in front of and in the center of the notifications, the operating system assures you that you do not miss out on important information for you.
With iOS, notifications are hidden and visually impaired, if Apple expects you to search for new notifications, it would be important for you.
When extracting IPhonea XS, I temporarily made it to iOS. It was a welcome change (wow, apps are so much better iOS), but I had a constant struggle with the notifications. Because of the way they hide, they constantly stumble emailing messages one hour later.

An argument can be made against Android and encourages users to check and exclude notifications while not sitting on your face. While it is still progressing, Google has released Wellbeing Digitala a way to fully conceal notifications if the user so wishes.
Unfortunately, it is only available for Digital Wellbeing Pixel and Android One phones. Here it is available to all Android devices in the future.
So, for me, Android still has a better iOS notification system. I get a lot of notifications, which means that they have more time to manage all the alerts, but to clear my status from the bar, I will not lose anything.
There is a temporary benefit and occasional notifications need to be hidden, but iOS needs to constantly review my iPhone, so I would not miss it.
If the only thing IOS could copy would be, after restarting the phone, it would be able to save notifications. Often it will not happen, but when Android is too buggy, it would be time to shut down my phone so that the notifications you read could not be lost.
Again, this is not the most significant feature in the world, but it would be nice.
