During the last financial year, the MPI earned $ 91 million.

Figures reflect the average increases or decreases in each classification. Individual rates depend on many factors, such as age and vehicle manufacturing, personal drivers and options.

While the general premium insurance premiums increase, other factors, including insurance options, are the drivers of the last rate.

Owners of private vehicles for travelers will have a rise of 1.98% in March. Motorbikes will have an average growth of 2.14 percent and vehicle owners should lower their rates by 20 percent.

The lawyer Byron Williams, who represents the branch of the Manitoba Association of Consumers of Canada, has said that the EP has made a "philosophical choice" to support its reserves or promote "capital maintenance" as called by the corporation.

"Our client took a different approach," Williams said. "Our client's vision (zeroes) would be zero closer, the MPI would still have break-even rates."

In fact, "he says little evidence" that MPI will manage its "excessive reserves wisely".

Erika Miller, spokesman for the CAA Manitoba, did not report directly to the decision, but stated that the owners of the vehicles had a lot of control over how much insurance they would have to pay.

"Manitoban should calm down that all rates will not lead to an increase of 1.8%," Miller said. "Manitoba Security Public Safety Scale, including the individual driving record and other factors, including the vehicle, model and year of the individual vehicle, as well as driving and driving factors for the use of the vehicle, on the one hand, you can see priority changes."

On page 116, PUB made ultimate efforts to address MPI staff and information technology costs.

"The Commission sees the corporation's continuing positive results with its costs," said the commission.
