OPPO Find the flagship X3 phone for 10-bit color end support

There are some devices available on the market that are compatible with “10-bit” but are “8 + 2-bit” or “8-bit + FRC”, which basically mimics the performance of a 10-bit screen with an 8-bit panel.

OPPO full-color color management system

OPPO Find X2 also uses the same 8 + 2-bit system but the company has confirmed that it will switch to the original 10-bit screen on the upcoming Find X3 phone. For calibration, the company will improve the accuracy with a lower ratio of 0.4 JNCD (Just Notable Color Difference).

It will also come with a 10-bit HEIF capture and storage medium. To do so, the company says it had to rewrite the underlying system because of the old 8-bit support. Color Correction Solution 2.0 is built on Android’s default color correction mode in accessibility settings and will go beyond three color options – deuteranomaly (red-green), protanomaly (red-green), and tritanomaly (blue-yellow).
