Why the Royal Family does not present gifts on Christmas Day

On December 25, people around the world will celebrate Christmas with their family traditions. Each family makes a holiday season a bit different, and varied traditions have passed through several generations.

The royal family is not a rule exemption. They also celebrate holidays in the rest of the world … with a few exceptions, of course. Many people are curious about why they do not have gifts on Christmas Day.

Why does the royal family not open gifts on Christmas Day?

The royal family exchanges gifts on Christmas Eve tonight, Christmas morning. This royal family tradition began with King George (Queen Elizabeth II's father), who is a German descent. In Germany, gifts are opened on the eve of Christmas.

Where does the royal family celebrate Christmas?

The Royal Family celebrates Christmas at the Queen's Sandringham headquarters. Before the Queen arrives early (December 19th or 20th), they must be prepared. The royal family arrives the rest of the morning or morning after Christmas Eve. She also includes children, grandchildren and grandchildren of Queen Elizabeth, as well as family members.

The sources say that the royal family has always been the same as drinking for anybody. It never changed. Shrimp or lobster with Turkish salad, parsnips, Brussels sprouts and carrots. Brandy butter that is served with Christmas milk for dessert.

Another year of another royal family?

The queen and her husband traditionally send more than 750 cards and purchase Christmas milk for all of their family members (hundreds of hundreds). The card shows us a family photo, everyone delighted with the dear Queen Elizabeth II (and adorable) cigar.

The donations are some of the charities that make the Queen Sandringham around, and she also gives some Christmas trees. In the year, all the royal family members show their appreciation to those who serve the whole year.

What's different this year?

Although the royal family (and especially Queen Elizabeth) is traditionally unusual, this year will be different. Although the "single family" is a rigorous policy on private holiday events, rumors say Queen Meghan Markler's mother, Doria Ragland, extended the invitation.

Surprisingly, even though Kate Middleton did not allow her to go ahead, and Prince William was officially married. Last year, when Harry was in charge of the prince, he was invited to Markle, breaking the tradition for another time.
