Chileans are exchanging "discounts" for personal information.

Caring for your personal data is important because they are yours, they are unique and have no less than a third party and private.

The discussion goes a long way and the problem seems to be under control for a long time, leaving some questions to restore people's privacy.

The problem is that these data are worthwhile and are "gold" of many companies around the world, even if they do not understand people, especially in Chile.

According to a recent study by Kaspersky Labs, for a small discount or an online coupon, people want to make a lot more, 40% of Latin Americans use their data.

For countries and easier to deliver, this is the classification:

  1. Chile, 47%
  2. Colombia, 45%.
  3. Argentina, 44%
  4. Peru, 37%
  5. Brazil 35%.
  6. Mexico, 24%

Because Mexicans were happy, in this area they were much richer than the rest of the countries that participated in the sample.

Dmitry Bestuzhev, director of the Global Research and Analysis Team at Kaspersky Lab in Latin America, says:

Once we get information, there is no turning back. By capturing personal data and capturing the personal data we share or accept, personal identity theft, email and social networks are attacked and we steal money from bank accounts. Additionally, giving private information can harm our privacy, since this information is sold to third parties for advertising. On the other hand, by enrollment through them Discounts, we also provide certain permits to authorize the use of the information we provide, and many users do not read it.
