Declaration of the National Network of Originating Peoples in support of the complaint of Willy Morales

The National Network of Originating Peoples RENPO Chile supports the report of the brother Willy Morales and calls to protest against the public policies in HIV / AIDS of the Ministry of Health

Representing the National Network of Indigenous Peoples in response to HIV / AIDS, we give our full support to our partner, an indigenous brother, Willy Morales, who is currently seriously hospitalized for the experiment in HIV / AIDS therapies being developed by the Ministry of Health and especially by the Minister of Health who has not been worried about being informed of the real situation that is happening in our country and thus generating public policies of health that are not in accordance with the current situation.

That is why we inform that on November 30 we will meet in front of the Ministry of Health to return all the alternative medicine of HIV / AIDS that they have provided us, which has brought us great health problems and a clear example is what It happens with our brother and colleague, Willy Morales, who is debating between life and death for changes in his medicine that the Ministry of Health believed or thought was the best for us.

As a form of manifestation and repudiation by not including ourselves in the decision making as indigenous peoples regarding what is in our own right in our health, we will meet on the 30th to return all the medicine in their face of the HIV that have given us and that has done us much harm.

RENPO Chile sends a strong hug and urges our brother Willy Morales to continue in his struggle, because behind him we are to support him.

Yes, you, Mr. Minister, do not give us the favor and give us space as indigenous peoples so that we can decide on our health, we will find ourselves in the obligation to look for other means, other mechanisms to make us listen.
