MSC Cruises and Fincantieri They made the first steel cut of MSC Seashore. This is the first of the two MSC Cruises Class Seaside EVO ships that are currently being requested from the Italian shipyard.
The ship of 169,400 tons, which will enter service in 2021, will be the first in its kind, and will further expand the fleet of Seaside MSC cruise ships that include an additional lounge at the stern; an MSC Yacht Club that occupies three front decks; specialty restaurants at the level of the boardwalk on deck 8; a greater number of hydromassages through the ship; 200 additional booths and the capacity to serve 5,632 guests.
In addition, Seaside EVO ships will be equipped with environmental technology including a selective catalytic reduction system; exhaust gas cleaning technology; recycling and waste management systems; water treatment systems; and a system of energy and heat recovery.
In this respect, Pierfrancesco Vago, president of MSC Cruceros, said that "the MSC Seashore is an example of our commitment to bring the most innovative and technologically advanced tonnage to the sea, which will have the latest and best marine and environmental technology available."
For its part, Giuseppe Bono, CEO of Fincantieri, stated that "The MSC Seashore is designed to impress: in the first place, due to its size, it will be the largest ship ever built in Italy, which will allow us to further increase our management standards, but even for its first-class technology level. This is a prototype that we developed based on a unique and enormously successful platform such as the Seaside. "
Today's event marked another milestone in the 10-year MSC Cruise development plan, which will incorporate 17 new mega boats, currently having four new boats under construction at the same time. The MSC Seashore is the seventh ship that will be built under this plan and will become the 19th ship that MSC Cruises has built since its inception in 2003.
