The number of coronavirus cases and deaths in the Arab world has risen steadily, health officials said Thursday.
Saudi Arabia reported 26 more deaths caused by the virus in the last 24 hours along with 833 new infections.
The number of infections in the kingdom is 318,319, with deaths 3,982 and recoveries 293,828.
In Oman, the Ministry of Health confirmed 16 deaths and 452 infections in the last 24 hours.
Oman’s infections totaled 86,380, with 705 deaths and 81,828 recoveries.
In Palestine, five deaths were reported in the last 24 hours along with 596 infections.
The document added that the number of Palestinians covering the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem rose to 31,716 with 188 deaths.
Libya has reported four deaths and 617 infections in the last 24 hours.
The number of national infections in the war has risen to 15,773. The death toll is 254, and 1,856 people have been recovered.
Qatar confirmed two new deaths along with 214 new coronavirus infections.
There are a total of 119,420 infections in Qatar. The death toll has risen to 201 and the recoveries to 116,313.
Kuwait reported one death in the last 24 hours along with 900 infections.
The number of infections in Kuwait rose to 87,378 including 536 deaths and 78,791 cases recovered.
In the United Arab Emirates, another 614 patients were infected with COVID-19, and the number reached 72,154.
The death toll was 387 and the recoveries were 62,668.
