Survey: On November 18, 36% of Latvians plan to celebrate national holidays


This year, the national holiday will be different than usual, given the border and state of emergency of Covid-19, but 36% of Latvians plan to celebrate the day of the proclamation of the Republic of Latvia on November 18, according to a survey by research firm Kantar TNS.

One-third or 36% of Latvians between the ages of 18 and 60 say they plan to celebrate national holidays in Latvia this year on November 18 this year, including 12% – certainly yes, 24% – yes.

According to a survey carried out by Kantar, meanwhile, half of the population – 53% – stated that they had no intention of doing so, including 30% – which was relatively negative and 23% – which was definitely negative.

On the other hand, one tenth of the population does not have a specific opinion on this issue.

The Kantar survey was conducted by conducting an online survey of the population aged 18 to 60 in Latvia.
