Liverpool journalist Josh Williams has warned that Arsenal do not deserve Ivory Coast international winger Nicolas Pepe, and said he would grow more in Liverpool.
The North London outfit paid £ 72m for Nicolas Peperi in the Lille 1 French Lille squad in the summer of 2019, but he has not been the player Mikel Arteta wants. The former Lille striker has not been given enough time to play in the Premier League as he has been limited to bank roles.
The former Lille winger has only played in the Europa League, as his name has provided some impressive performances with a number of goals.
However, Mikel Arteta has complained that Nicolas Pepe has not been consistent in his shipping ads, adding that Willian will give him a gesture to start ahead of the Brazilian international if he is more consistent.
Josh Williams says Nicolas Pepe has been in the interest book at Merseyside and will be a better player for Anfielde
Speaking to the Blood Red Podcast transcribed by ThisIsFutbol, Williams thought about Pepe and how it could be developed in Liverpool.
“Liverpool had a vague connection with him a few years ago, but I think Liverpool threw in quite a bit, but I want to think if he would come to Liverpool, [Jurgen] Klopp would use it very effectively. He would come in when he felt he could move forward.
“Rather than the way he’s perceived today, I hope to see him as one of the best attackers in the league, probably – just by seeing how Klopp integrates those players; he doesn’t rush them, he gives them time, he brings them in when the games are right.”
