Jurgen Klopp sees Chelsea as favorites to win the Premier League – but he is confident Liverpool will once again rule out rivals for the title.
After 10 games, the Reds are behind Tottenham Hotspur at the top of the table before Sunday’s visit to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
While Liverpool had a six-point lead over the same stage last season, they had to deal with a condensed list of jobs and numerous injuries during this period.
However, Klopp believes his players are maintaining the stance that served to end the club’s 30-year wait in July.
“I don’t feel like we’re chasing anyone at the moment or someone is chasing us,” the Reds chief said.
“I see Tottenham doing pretty well. At the moment Chelsea are my favorite with the bigger team and are fully involved after they start to get a little rusty. They have a great chance to change the team from one game to the next.

“We see them, but we don’t follow them. We play when we play. That’s how we saw it last season.
“The pressure is there, but you’re talking about yourself. How much do you think about it. There’s pressure to win a game.
“Our pressure is that we want to win against the Wolves, but we are only playing against the Wolves and anyone else.”
For the first time since 2017, no club has opened an early gap at the top of the Premier League table.
Klopp believes the unparalleled situation around the season doesn’t value the score until he’s deeper into the campaign.
“It’s too early to think about who’s ahead of whom,” he said.
“It’s just a situation this season, it’s not about setting a goal and going for it.
“It’s all about overcoming the best football you can play, and we try to do that.
“It’s different between weekends and weekends because of certain situations.
“But for us the goal is to be fully focused on the next game and the next opponent and not think, especially at the beginning of the season, about other results.”
