On Thursday night, the Organic Law of the National Council of Justice (JNJ) was not accepted in the Plenary Assembly of the Congress, unless 66 votes were received, despite a broad debate in the Parliament. There were 61 votes, 25 against and 2 abstentions.
After over 4 hours of the session, the members of Congress did not reach an agreement, so the head of the Justice Committee, Alberto Oliva, asked for an intermediate room. The president of the conference, Daniel Salaverry, will be there until Friday at 9:00 p.m.

During the session, Rosa Bartra, the Constitutional Committee, expressed its opinion that, in order to discuss another project, the creation of the Special Committee would be responsible for the election of members of the JNJ. .
Keeping in mind, this legislative initiative allows the authorization and regulation of the functioning of the National Council of Justice, which represents a National Representative of the Magistrate Council (CNM). One of the functions is the naming, ratification and inspection of jury and prosecutors nationwide.
