Portugal reports 6,383 cases and 82 deaths in Covid-19 in 24 hours – O Jornal Económico



Portugal has confirmed a total of 280,394 cases of Covid-19, 6,383 more than the previous day, the epidemiological bulletin of the Directorate General of Health (DGS) reveals this Thursday, November 26th. The death toll from the country’s new coronavirus has risen to 4,209, and there have been 82 more deaths in the last 24 hours.

The DGS has revealed that there are currently 146,543 cases registered in the north (plus 3,414), 27,419 in the center (plus 964), 94,012 in Lisbon and the Tagus Valley (plus 1,782), 5,036 in the Algarve (plus 85), 879 cases in the Azores over 35 years ), 842 in the Autonomous Community of Madeira (over 16 years) and 5,663 cases in Alentejo (over 87 years).

There are currently 3,192 patients hospitalized (at least 59), of whom 516 are in Intensive Care Units (minus one) and 193,944 cases have been recovered in Portugal, 4,588 more than those registered yesterday.

Of the 4,209 deaths, 1,985 were in the North (plus 43), 537 in the Center (plus six), 1,518 in Lisbon and the Tagus Valley (plus 26), 44 in the Algarve (plus one), 17 in the Azores (two more) and 106 in the Alentejo (other). lau). There are two deaths of Covid-19 in Madeira.

There are currently 123,820 men and 151,574 women infected with the new coronavirus, and 5,000 people whose gender is unknown is infected. In terms of deaths, there were 2,181 men and 2,028 women. There are 81,367 people cared for, 579 fewer than yesterday. There are still 82,241 active cases, 1,713 more than yesterday.

The age with the highest number of cases is between 40 and 49 years, 20,152 men and 26,208 women, to which are added 739 people of unknown sex, for a total of 47,099 cases. The highest number of deaths is over 80, with 1,292 men and 1,542 women, for a total of 2,834 deaths.
