Redmi Note 9 Pro: Impressive 108MP camera

Xiaomi today opened the front doors of the Redmi Note 9 family in China and, as we already announced, and the big news is that the new Redmi Note 9 Pro comes with two great arguments: a huge 108MP camera and 5G connectivity.

Here, obviously, some brands have changed. The Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G is a Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite, with a Poco X3, 108MP sensor. For the rest, the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G retains most of the specifications of the Mi 10T Lite. Thus, we find the same 6.67-inch FHD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and the same Snapdragon 750G processor with 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of memory. The battery is the same, as it charges 4820mAh and 33W.

In the chamber department, only the main chamber is changed. The 64MP unit comes out and a huge 108MP camera comes in, but the rest are pretty spartan, matching the price segment. That’s why we’re talking about a very wide 8MP angle, 2MP macro, and depth-resolution sensors with the same resolution as the previous 16MP camera.

Along with the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G, the Redmi Note 9 5G and Redmi Note 9 4G were also unveiled, phones that have a lot in common.

Specifically, they mobilize a 6.53-inch FHD display with a 60Hz refresh rate. The cameras have a 48MP main unit, 8MP ultra wide angles and a 2MP depth sensor.

Then the differences begin. While the Redmi Note 9 5G uses an interesting Mediate Dimensity 800U with 6 / 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, it charges a 5000mAh battery and 18W.

The Redmi Note 9 4G uses the Snapdragon 662 with 128GB of storage and 4GB of RAM, and a 6000mAh battery charged with 18W. If these specifications are popular, point by point, they belong to the Poco M3, I find it a very exciting smartphone for the price. The design, however, is not so striking.

Xiaomi’s alignment is sometimes difficult to follow. A little, a Xiaomi, a Redmi. But needless to say, the Chinese brand manages to refresh its portfolio by being interesting enough, and that’s what happens here. But the confusion is not over: these devices may be called Redmi Note 10 and Redmi Note 10 Pro when they reach European beaches.
