The action takes place before the events of the short film Blade Runner: Blackout 2022… The protagonist is a fugitive Nexus-8 series replicator named Trixie. Prior to activation, it was stolen by a competing company for research purposes.

In the future, Syndroid plans to improve character animations and add support for virtual reality.
