If the movies had suffered so far, but still hoped to return to normalcy after the pandemic calmed down, they have now received another major blow.
One of Hollywood’s largest studios, Warner Brothers, has announced a decision that could change the film industry once and for all.
In 2021, it will present all of its most successful blockbusters in its first month, both on HBO Max’s online video service and in theaters. HBO Max subscribers will not have to pay any more dollars.
So far, Warner has only announced this experiment for the U.S. market, but if it succeeds, one might think that the Hollywood giant will continue that trend.
Among the films that will reach the audience in this way are titles like the sequel to the Matrix 4 cult trilogy, The Suicide Squad, Godzilla vs. Free sequel to the cult series Kong or Sopranos – The Many Saints of Newark.
However, this calculation is not complete. The Little Things will also star HBO Max, starring Denzel Washington, Jared Leto and Rami Malek. The same fate will be revealed by the re-creation of the legendary science fiction Dune directed by the genius Denis Villeneuve.
