Ukrainian singer MARUV joined the jury of the popular Russian show “Superstar” on NTV television.
This is stated in a message posted on the Ukrainian fan page of the Eurovision Song Contest on Instagram, which was later deleted.
People on the network reacted violently to this news. Some believed that the artist should not develop his activities in Russia and Ukraine. Others defended the singer.
“It is a pity that we have chosen to develop in Russia, and not in Ukraine,” “Money has no smell,” “A person has the right to choose where he is most comfortable and not to do one thing, like most,” the users wrote in the comments.
Recall that in February last year Maruv was the main candidate for Ukraine in the Eurovision Song Contest.
However, after the singer’s scandal as a result of her Russian tour, her candidacy was revoked. The formal reason is that the singer refuses to sign an agreement with the public television and radio company (NOTU). In fact, Ukrainian television officials included in that agreement clauses that did not allow them to sign without losing face. Most likely, the artist himself refused to attend the competition.
