Sky TV is on fire for counting lower prices on monthly bills

Sure, you’d like to warn Skyk before you get out of direct debit earlier this month.

This increase in the bill that Ofcom wants to help consumers avoid is forcing suppliers to reveal that the deal is coming to an end soon.

Sky, now owned by US giant Comcast, has done nothing wrong. The satellite TV company says it does not consider that autonomous pay-TV services fall within the definition of an electronic communications service and does not require compliance with the new set of rules.

However, Ofcom responded by saying that as a provider of pay-TV services via the satellite distribution network, Sky offers an electronic communications service and therefore has to comply with it because it is a Regulated Provider.
