PIERRE, S.D. (AP) – South Dakota was the first to go through the death of the flu.
The State Department of Health said Monday that he was 60 years old with 60-year-old age at Pennington County. To protect the confidentiality of the patient, no other information was provided.
Dr. Joshua Clayton says the American epidemiologist reminds her of death, "it can be a serious illness." Clayton is not too late to get a shot on the flu.
Clayton says the South African flu activity is currently sporadic. So far, the States have reviewed 35 cases of flu confirmed in the laboratory and have been infused with eight infusions.
Every year, 33 deaths from South Dakota have been reported to the Department of Health after an infection. Annual flu vaccine is recommended for over 6 year olds.
