Gustavo Vizcaíno, director of the Identification, Migration and Immigration Administrative Service (Saime), said the agency is evaluating the possibility of extending the expiration date of the 10-year passport and extending it to five.
During an interview with the Venezuelan Television channel (VTV), Vizcaíno explained that the users that issued the document for the first time will have the new stipulated duration time, while those who already had it will obtain a five-year extension.
Also, the director of Saime said that they are waiting for some approvals to implement this new measure.
