Russia lost its Spektr-R satellite control, which currently includes only one telescope in space.
While Spektr-R still transmits scientific information and is normally in the process of being orbiting, the chiefs of the Russian missions, the BBC said on Friday.
Yuri Kovalev, chief of investigation at Spektr-R missions, said the Russian agency of TASS reported that there was a signal on the ground that the operation was not transmitted when the transmitter was emitted. It is unclear what caused the glitch, but TASS reported Monday that speculative explanation could be damaging to cosmic radiation in the spacecraft electronics system.
The satellite still sends messages on its activities, suggests that circulation and scientific operations do not affect the functioning of the communications.
"This means that our satellite is alive, it has power over the board, that scientific equipment continues to work and that there is still no relationship," said Kovalev. The efforts to communicate with the spacecraft continued on Monday.
Starting in July 2011, it has a 10-meter wide antenna designed to select Spektr-R radio broadcasts, including Milky Way and beyond.

As a component of the national RadioAstron program headquartered in Moscow, satellite scientists have investigated exotic objects such as quasars and black holes, the millions of millions of millions of Earth's light. The nuclear is a very elliptical orbit because it makes 300,000 kilometers of terrestrial radio telescopes to produce very high resolution images.
The mission was expected to last five years, and therefore exceeded the long-term project. While in contact with the satellite, Russia will collaborate with the German scientist to launch a successful satellite called Spektr RG in 2019.
